Benefits for the centre
This study will not cost your center any money, as all study-related costs are covered by Cure51.
In addition, all raw data from patients included by the center and generated as part of the study will be shared with the center for internal academic research. Around €5,000-€10,000 are invested per patient for the generation of omics data.
Moreover, the opportunity to be part of a unique international cancer initiative will be provided — never before has the biology of exceptional survivors been studied on such a scale to discover new therapies. Collaboration is ongoing with +200 centers worldwide, and this number is expected to continue growing. Notably, the company has been co-founded by the top oncology centers in Europe: Institute Gustave Roussy and Centre Léon Bérard in France, Vall d'Hebron Institute of Oncology in Spain and Charité in Germany.
The Clinical Steering Committee of the company is composed of world-renowned oncologists, with the Head of the Committee being Fabrice Andre, Elect President of the European Society of Medical Oncology. Access to such a network of KOLs is considered a significant advantage.
Benefits for the patients
The ROSALIND study is being conducted as a retrospective study aiming to close the gap in cancers with very poor prognosis. For metastatic PDAC, GBM, and ES-SCLC, the chances of surviving more than 12 months are considered extremely low, and the standard of care has not been evolved for decades.
An urgent need has been recognized to identify novel targets and first-in-class therapies so that hope can be provided to newly diagnosed patients in the future. Through these efforts, potential new therapeutic approaches may be made available to increase their chance of survival.
